turquoise and brown

One BIG quilt top.....
for me that is.
87"x97"
whew.
I thought I'd be adding some applique to that white border....
but no....
I don't think it needs it...do you?
I'll be showing it to it's new owner tomorrow.
Then I'll have to quilt it, of course. :)
Next up...
Find a nice backing fabric.
Or...
should I piece some things together???
Ahhh....
The wonderful things to think about when quilting.
It fills my mind with happy thoughts!!!

  1. It's beautiful, Beth! I love the wide, white border! Can't wait to see what you do for the back.....

  2. Lovely quilt. If you change your mind about filling in the white, you could stitch down "vines" of green rick-rack and add yo-yo flowers.

You basket quilt is a real gem. Nothing beats hand quilted quilts.

  4. Gorgeous! If you don't add applique in the white border it will be a great place to show off some quilting? :)

  6. This is lovely just the way it is. Some applique would be great. But if you're like me, you just want to get onto the next quilt. The white border will show off some fancy quilting. You've got courage to quilt such a large piece!
